Professional Bio

Beatriz Fernández is a long-standing Bodywork Practitioner with over 40 years of experience in bodywork, movement, and personal development.

Her career began in the 1980s through theatre, dance, and expression, where she explored the body as a vehicle for awareness, presence, and transformation. In 1989, she shifted her focus toward healing and began formal studies in reflexology, naturopathy, and the Grinberg Method, becoming a certified practitioner in 1991 and later a licensed teacher.

She later founded and directed a Grinberg Method School in Barcelona for 10 years, where she trained and mentored bodyworkers in professional practice. Between 1996 and 2012, she also travelled extensively, teaching and training practitioners across Europe and Australia.

Her work integrates touch, breath, movement, and attention to help people recognise and stop limiting patterns, develop greater resilience, and relate differently to fear, pain, and change. In 2014, she expanded her work further by training as a macrobiotic consultant, deepening her understanding of the relationship between the body, nourishment, and wellbeing.

Beatriz now lives off the grid in Spain with her husband Ian and their dog Judy. She continues to offer bodywork because of the joy, meaning, and fulfilment it brings her.

Beatriz offers sessions in English, Spanish, and Catalan. She works weekly with clients in Barcelona on Wednesdays, and also offers Weekend Bodywork Intensives between Feb - Nov (maximum two people) from her home in Sant Llorenç de la Muga, Girona, as well as a one-on-one Burnout Recovery Program in both locations.
